This latest collection of songs linked to EYFS from Funky Feet Music has been produced with the purpose of creating an affordable resource to support children both in a setting and in the home environment.

We envisage it will enable settings to encourage ‘parents as partners’ and an opportunity for children to reflect on the activities they undertake at home with their own families. Simple props which are general household objects can be used in conjunction with these songs.

The songs have been chosen to encourage learning through play where the children can be creative and use their imagination in role play; work as a team around the parachute, play with friends, adapt props, join in counting songs, encourage child-led activities and play with instruments, stimulate movement, imagination, language and learning.

Children learn through experience. They love to observe and imitate, or explore new ideas for themselves, repeating and developing actions or experiences which they enjoy. Whichever way children get involved in the learning it’s great to do it together and we all know that  children learn best through doing things and these songs encourages active involvement which will help to support development in:

·   Fine & Gross motor movement

·  Speech and communication through short simple phrases          and repetition

·  Eye strength and eye tracking

·  Language through song, words which describe ideas

·           Concentration and focused listening

·           Imagination and creative thinking

·           Musical foundation skills

·           Social confidence through interacting                  with others in a positive experience

Add a maraca for £2 each and you will receive a free gift pouch to wrap your goodies in.
